Berthoud pairs a genuinely historic small-town core with some of Northern Colorado's fastest recent growth — two housing populations, two fireplace worlds, one town.
We serve both: careful masonry and flue assessment for the vintage homes near the old center, and modern gas and hardware care across the new neighborhoods spreading east and south.
The contrast is the story in Berthoud. Older in-town chimneys carry a century of freeze-thaw history and deserve camera-verified condition before heavy use; the growth-era systems need commissioning correctness now and component renewal later. Both populations share the local weather — open-country wind and hard winter swings — which keeps top-end hardware on every visit's checklist.
Baker Chimney & Fireplace has served Colorado homeowners since 1997 on a simple standard: inspect carefully, explain clearly, repair properly, and respect the home. We repair when repair makes sense and recommend replacement only when it's genuinely the better long-term answer. Phone lines are answered 24/7, and Berthoud sits within our regular Front Range coverage.
The full range of chimney and fireplace work — each linking to details on what's involved.
Frequently, after honest assessment — camera inspection establishes what the flue actually is, and relining makes marginal originals safely serviceable. Age is history, not verdict.
A commissioning check and first service — young systems reward early correctness, then settle into a light annual rhythm.
Yes — town and outlying properties alike sit within our Northern Colorado coverage.
